dreaming all the time is not foolish
nothing has happened...i'm on page like 150 or something.. hmmmmm well amal is slowly falling in love with her crush and he's falling in "love" with her too. howww cute, right?! I think she is taking this crush a little too far... an example is " Josh's coming our way... Oh my god, is my hair OK? Do I look OK?" (Pg 119). That is kind of embarrasing..but i guess every one has that one person that they get that feeling and freak out. Well i dont even know if i'm supposed to be doing this blogging thing any more...but i still have like 2000000000 pages in my book and its due in one day! sweeeeet i love this assignment ms west :)

dream it anyway
Well tomorrow is thursday! man, these weeks are just zooming by! :)
Amal's friend was going to go shopping with Amal's mother and herself, until her mom freaked out and didn't let her go. amal spazzes and thinks its unfair of her friends mom and she is saying some pretty nasty things bout her. ummm then the boy of her DrEaMs adam told her that he thinks she has guts for wearing the hijab. she just about has a meltdown. also she shares a story about how she wanted to get a dress that everyone else was wearing and she made her mom buy it even though she didnt' really need it.
" i insisted and she spent abuot one hundred dollars on an outfit. i felt so guilty that i'd made her fork out all that money that i decided to wear the dress anyway." ( page 99). I think this is a good example because this has deffinatly happened to me before where i will get something because everyone else has it...but i think i've grown away from that alot in highschool because no one really cares what you wear or do. What that quote meant is that all her friends planned on wearing a dress to some event and they all changed their mind without amal knowing, and they wore something completly different. So amal showed up dressing really really fancy, and everyone else were in over alls. I think it's moments like these that make us stronger..times when something is sooo embarrasing but you don't back down and just go along with it any way because- hey, it's who you are and your not willing to change yourself for someone.

Ü Happy Weekend Ü
Hello today is friday! finally the weekend. I'm here with kelsey moarn and we are bored.Well i have only read like a few pages. What happened was Amal is feeling insecure wearing the hijab. Normally, she goes with her friends to a cafe telling stories and "gossiping." On friday, her friends asked her to go to the cafe--but she turend them down because she didn't want people to talk about her head-piece. She talks about it with her friends a little bit, and they say that she shouldn't care, because it was her choice to wear it. She realizes that they are correct, and she really shouldn't care what everyone else thinks because the hijab is apart of her. I think that this takes guts and i would not wear the hijab. So props to amal! okay, i am done happy weekend.

LOVE TODAY
I've been reading a little little bit.. I'm on page 83, so i have a longg ways to go. OH well. Since the first time she wore her hijab to school, she's been getting a lot of looks. Most people ignore her, including her crush, which really hurts her. When Amal arrives home after school, her parents inform her that Amal's teacher called home and wants to have a meeting with them ( about the hijab ). so she's tweakin out pretty much. When her parents and her teacher actually have the meeting, the teacher says that she iwll allow her to wear it, only if she's wearing it JUST to show practice in her religion. I think that it's not important that her teacher asked to have a conference with her parents. Why should she care? She's OBVIOUSLY wearing it to practice her religion. So i don't think she had the right to do that. But i do think that it shows that the teacher has respect for Amal because she doesnt want Amal to get made fun of. anyways....... people start talking to Amal again and they become interested in her headwear which she is suprisingly happy about! Guess it's not so bad after all!!
******welllllllll i'm off to basketball practice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I still have not read any more of my book...But good news of the day!!!!
Kelsey Marie Moarn got her license!!!!! clear the roads, everyone. You might die! haaaaaaaaaaaa just kidding kelsey. Now i will predict what will happen in my book. I think that the main character will become more and more comfortable with herself and her hijab. She will become a "full-timer," so her friends call it. I think that the bratty girl Tia will make fun of her and that she will get all of her friends to turn against her. But sooner or later they will realize that making fun of her isn't fair. Amal will speak out and tell her feelings to everyone and soon people will think that the hijab is kinda cool!! I may be totally and completely wrong.. but that is what I think will happen in " Does My Head Look Big in This?"
I really want to see the movie in the land of women... and i also want to see the movie Georgia Rule except i hate lindsey lohen.

♥ Happy Weekend ♥

I have only read one more page in my book! But here is what happened::: She wore the hijab!!! yay! it was a little confusing because it skipped four days or so going from the end of chapter 2 to the beggining of chapter 3. In chapter two she was contemplating whether or not to wear it...but she still had four more days left of vacation to make her decision. Chapter 3 starts off saying I WORE IT!!!!!!!! So a little confusion took place there. Right after she wore it she called her best friend and told her all about it! Her friend, like herself, wears the hijab also and was very proud of her! This relates to me because I have good friends that act just like the two best friends in the story. I think it's important to have a best friend to turn to in even the littlest situations. I hope that someday I will have the courage to do something that brave and not worry about what everyone else will think. I still really enjoy the book and I hope my interest continues throughout it all!! ♪ PS- i loveee music ♪
As you can probley tell- I LOVE THE OC!!!!! <3

○What Do You Think○
ill tell you my beautiful weekend. Friday I had my FIRST behind the wheel. scary, huh? after that my mom made me go to coscto with her and it took forever! then I had some people over for a good ten min, and after that I went to jim hills house. he has a chinchilla!!!!!!!! Saturday I went to timmy's house and Kathryn slept over. Also, I saw Firehouse Dog with my granny and mom and brother on Sunday. It was the absolute worst movie in the world. That was my weekend. yay!
i havent read any more of my book, but I will tell you my thoughts about what I would do if I were her. Personally, I don't think I would wear one of the Hijabs. Although it is apart of her religion.. I wouldn't have the guts to. I give her props though for wanting to. In my opinion, I don't understand why they need to wear the hijabs. They aren't cute and if they have the option of wearing them.. why would you chose them?! No affense to anyone that disagrees with me, but i don't believe this unfashionable head piece is neccissary to practice any religion, not just this one in particular.
I also really like how the book is written. It catches my attention unlike most books. Right now in the story, however, I'm not dying to continue reading. The only thing they are talking about are hajibs and honestly, there's only so much one can write about before you want to set the book down and go do something cool. Now I'm just babbling on-- so I think I will stop!
Have a good one! :) only thirty something more days until summer!

Ü Be happy Ü
Well today was a normal day. late start this morning!! yay. it was going good until i took the chem test which sucks because i hate chemistry and honestly, who is going to use it in the future unless ur like a chemist? then i went home and read in the time of the butterflies..and i took a nap except i was interupted when i heard screams coming from a baseball game at garden park.. so then i got up and started to do my homework. I started reading my book today and although i'm only done with chapter one it was dece. the girls name is Amal Mohamed Nasrullah Abdel-Hakim..how would you like that for a name? the reason why i liked this chapter is because it mentions the tv show friends!!! so i guess this book isnt as weird as it looks... if the girl is signifcantly changed by jennifor aniston herself. if that made anysense. hopefully this book will relate to me in someways but i doubt it because i don't wear a hajib or w.e it is called.

()
I chose the book Does My Head Look Big in This... I haven't read any of it yet so I don't know if its good or not.. I chose it because I couldn't find any other World Lit authors. Also it was in the teen section, and most books that are in that section are not half-bad..compared to stupid adult books.
ok .. bye??
ok .. bye??
